About the Role
We are seeking a talented Video Editor to join our client’s Digital Media team in Houston, Texas. This is a hybrid remote role, requiring onsite presence 2-3 times per week. As a Video Editor, you will play a key role in ensuring video and motion deliverables meet the highest quality standards. You’ll collaborate with clients and teammates to bring creative visions to life through expert editing, color correction, and sound design.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit raw video footage, focusing on finishing touches, color correction, and sound design.
- Collaborate with Producers, Creative Directors, and Art Directors to actualize the overall vision for productions.
- Manage production files and maintain an organized file structure during post-production.
- Perform color grading to enhance visual appeal and design/mix sound for high-quality audio.
- Estimate time and budget requirements to keep projects on track.
- Troubleshoot software and upgrades as needed.
- Ensure quality control for all aspects of video finishing, color correction, and sound design.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in video editing and post-production workflows.
- Expertise in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and ideally Logic/Pro Tools.
- Experience with compositing in After Effects/Resolve is a significant plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage communication via Teams, Workfront (or related PM software), and email.
- Ability to work onsite in editing suites during core business hours (or via remote login as needed).
- Background in Oil & Gas, Energy, or STEM fields is a plus.
