The Role: Capturing the “Tone of Bark”

We are on the hunt for a creative and skilled Copywriter to join our growing team. Your mission will involve shaping Butternut Box’s voice for the Benelux region, maintaining our signature “Tone of Bark” throughout. Your work will be crucial in shaping customer perceptions and engagement with our brand.

Your Key Responsibilities

Craft engaging and compelling text for marketing campaigns, ads, product descriptions, and website content.
Refine and enhance our brand’s voice in all customer interactions.
Write content for print, social media, email, blogs, and web pages.
Create impactful ad copy to boost our performance marketing efforts.
Collaborate with designers, marketers, and product teams to ensure consistency in messaging across all assets.
Adjust and translate content to suit the Dutch market.
Continuously test copy using analytics and data to enhance engagement and conversion levels.
Ensure all writing is clear, precise, consistent, and maintains our friendly, conversational tone.
Keep our messaging vibrant, aligning with trends in marketing, branding, and pet care.
You will also proofread and edit content to ensure it meets top quality and adheres to both grammatical and stylistic standards.

Who You Are: The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with a strong creative flair, strategic mindset, and a passion for storytelling. If you can turn simple ideas into compelling narratives, we want to hear from you!

Must-Have Qualifications:

Ability to write and translate into Dutch Fluency in Dutch, solid English proficiency
Minimum of 3 years in copywriting or similar fields by October 2023
Experience in marketing, advertising, branding, or content strategy.
Solid grasp of SEO practices and writing copy that appeals to search engines.
Familiarity with research, maintaining tone consistency, grammar, and detail orientation.
A data-driven approach to writing for e-commerce, social media, and digital marketing campaigns.
Skill in deriving content insights and metrics, maintaining a solid handle on tasks.
Self-motivated, with strong time-management abilities to handle multiple projects concurrently.
Collaborative, yet an independent achiever who gets tasks done swiftly
And above all — a love for dogs! 🐶

Bonus Points:

Experience in the pet care industry or consumer-focused brands.
Proficiency in performance marketing and paid media copy
Knowledge of French is a big plus.
Experience with organic social media content and community engagement.
Background in UX writing or product content strategy.
