Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and seasoned Social Media Manager who will own and enhance our social media strategy across multiple platforms. This position will be responsible for continuing AOL’s transformation into a digital brand, increasing social engagement and making sure the AOL brand connects with new and diverse audiences. A self-starter who is proactive and has a natural interest in social media, culture, and trends. » You are thrilled about producing content that captivates audiences, engages users, and builds awareness for AOL’s new, innovative digital products.
As the Social Media Manager you’ll partner with AOL Head of Marketing and other cross-functional leads to manage and drive strategic campaigns on AOL’s various social media channels including, Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and others. This role will require creative thinking, strong writing skills and collaboration with multiple teams to grow AOL’s voice among social media.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Create Content Strategy By Keeping Consumers At Center:
- Drive a year-round content strategy that reflects AOL’s brand and serves audiences across the spectrum.
- Develop and maintain monthly editorial calendars, planning social content aimed at driving engagement, awareness, and enthusiasm for AOL.
- Identify and capitalize on cultural trends and digital innovations that keep AOL relevant and engaging across platforms.
2. Content Generation Broadly & Execution:
- Generate ideas, create and produce original content for AOL’s social channels. With regards to content creation, including writing, graphic design, and video production, you will get hands-on experience.
- Activate campaigns, events, and creative content in alignment with the AOL Brand vision & mission
- Throughout its posts, consistency with the brand’s voice and visual style, tailoring posts to AOL’s digital identity.
3. Influencer Collaboration and Partnerships:
Drive and execute influencer campaigns that help AOL reach more eyeballs and deepen relationships with key influencers in the space
- Pursue unique collaborations and partnerships that will help amplify AOL’s brand presence across social media.
- Execute on these partnerships and ensure they meet AOL’s brand goals and target audience.
4. Brand Activations & Real-Time Campaigns:
- Catalyst for AOL’s marketing activities, creating real-time activations across social that follow big brand moments or taps into cultural moments.
- Take campaigns to the next level by engaging with current events and trending topics, keeping AOL top-of-mind in the digital conversation.– Collaborate with AOL’s marketing and editorial teams to maintain a consistent voice at all social touchpoints.
5. Performance Monitoring & Analytics:
- Track and measure the effectiveness of all social media campaigns, closing the loop and demonstrating how they helped drive visitors, engagement, sales or conversions.
- Leverage performance data insights and learnings to optimize content strategies for maximum effectiveness in future campaigns.
- Maintaining regular reporting for the social team around performance, ensuring team alignment around metrics and KPIs.
6. Budget Management:
- Social media campaign budget reviews, including partner support and production budgets.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure proper resourcing that balances creativity and innovation with budget.
7. Community Engagement:
- Regularly respond to comments, direct messages, and social media feedback in an authentic and timely way to engage with AOL’s social media community
- Work with AOL’s customer service team to respond to queries and address customer service via social when needed.
Qualifications:
–Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Social Media or a related field.
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in social media strategy, content creation, and management. If it also means having a track record of expanding successful social media streams and being at the helm of powerful digital campaigns, then you should apply.

This role may also include additional performance-based compensation including bonus, commission, or equity incentive.
